Day two of trying to make my Crossfire set-up work.
Here are a few pictures. Sorry for the poor lighting. I just used my camera phone.
My greatest difficulty is enabling software Crossfire. The new 7.10 supposedly supports software Crossfire with the 2400 and 2600 series, but I’m not getting results at all. I physically tested single and dual set-ups, but they yield the same 3DMark06 scores.
The ATI drivers from MSI that I referred to in my previous entry FUBARed my system. I was forced to reinstall Windows.
Prior to reinstalling, I was able to start a benchmarking run on 3DMark06. The results were impressive.
Strangely enough, after reinstalling Windows and the same 7.10 drivers (still no Crossfire), I ran 3DMark06 again, but gone lower scores. I don’t know why. Both runs were single card runs.
Stay tuned as I strive for my Crossfire configuration. Wish me luck!
